This policy explains how DSGNUS collects, uses, and shares information when you read our articles or interact with the site at dsgnus.com. It applies only to this website.
What reaches us and why
We run a WordPress site with articles and an open comment feature. We do not sell products, run ads, operate a newsletter, or embed analytics services.
Information reaches us in a few ways:
– You read pages. Our hosting and content delivery network (CDN) record standard server logs to deliver the site reliably and keep it secure. These logs typically include your IP address, user agent, the page you requested, referrer, and the time of the request. We use these logs for performance, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security. – You leave a comment. If you choose to comment on a post, WordPress stores the data you submit (comment text, name, email address, and optionally a website URL). For spam and abuse control, WordPress also records the IP address and browser user agent associated with the comment.
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or affiliate tracking on this site.
Comments
Comments are open on most articles. When you leave a comment, the site stores your comment and the metadata described above so that we can display the comment, moderate discussions, and protect the site from abuse.
If you request publication of a comment, your display name and any website URL you include will be visible to the public alongside the comment text. Your email address and IP address are not shown publicly.
Cookies and local storage
WordPress may set a small number of cookies:
– Commenter convenience cookies that remember your name, email, and website if you opt in when commenting, so you do not have to retype them next time. These typically last up to one year. – Administrative session cookies used only for the site’s logged-in administrator. How long we keep it
– Comments: Kept for as long as the article and its moderation history remain online, unless you ask us to remove them or we remove them under our Terms. – Server and CDN logs: Retained for a limited period defined by our hosting and CDN to maintain security and service quality, typically weeks to a few months. – Cookies: Follow their stated lifetimes; you can delete them sooner via your browser settings.
Legal grounds and transfers
Where a legal basis is required, we process comment data and operational logs under our legitimate interests in providing a functional, secure publication and community space. If you publish a comment, we process that content to fulfill your request to display it.
Our hosting and CDN may process data in or route it through data centers located in other countries. We rely on those providers to deliver the site globally.
Your choices and rights
– Do not comment: You can read DSGNUS without providing any personal information. – Manage cookies: Use your browser settings to block or delete cookies. – Access, correction, deletion: You may request a copy of your personal data on this site, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete comments you have posted (or to anonymize them if deletion would break a discussion thread). – Objection and restriction: You may object to or ask us to restrict processing where applicable. – Portability: Where applicable, you may request a portable copy of the data you provided in a comment. – Complaints: If you are in a region with a data protection authority, you have the right to lodge a complaint with that authority.
